Policy & Terms & Conditions

AutoParts Store – Policies, Terms & Conditions

(Please read carefully before placing your order. By ordering you accept all the policies and terms outlined below.)

1. Warranty Period

1.1 We supply used and remanufactured engines, transmissions and major assemblies with a standard 30-day “parts replacement only” warranty, unless a longer warranty period is specified in your invoice.
1.2 If you’ve purchased an extended warranty option (if available) then the warranty period is extended accordingly.
1.3 All other terms and conditions listed herein apply equally for both the standard and extended warranty.
1.4 Warranty coverage expires at the end of the warranty period and no longer applies thereafter.

2. Warranty Activation

2.1 The warranty begins on the delivery date of the unit, as documented by the carrier’s delivery records showing acceptance by you (the purchaser).

3. Warranty Limitations

3.1 The warranty covers the part itself only; labour costs, storage fees, towing, installation or related downtime are not covered.
3.2 This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
3.3 Our sole obligation under this warranty is to either repair or replace the defective part/component. If we cannot provide a replacement, we may refund the purchase price of the part (not to exceed your original paid amount).
3.4 At our discretion we may replace the original part with a used unit of “like kind” having equal or greater mileage/usage.
3.5 Any replacement part is considered a repair and does not extend or renew the original warranty period.
3.6 All warranty claims must be made within the warranty period, and you must provide a copy of the original invoice/receipt.
3.7 For engines: we guarantee against internal component defects (e.g., block, crankshaft, camshaft, heads, pistons). Accessories, wiring, sensors, ancillaries are not included unless explicitly stated.
3.8 For transmissions/transfer cases: coverage is for internal functional failures (e.g., slipping, shifting issues). External components (electronic modules, wiring, mounts, seals, fluids) are not covered.
3.9 The warranty is valid only if the engine/transmission is installed according to the recommended installation procedures (see Section 3.10). Failure to follow proper installation or maintain your vehicle may void warranty.
3.10 Recommended Installation / Replacement Procedures
Engines:

  • Drain & replace engine oil to manufacturer-spec levels.

  • Replace oil filter, air filter, fuel filter.

  • Replace valve cover gasket(s), oil pan gasket & rear main seal.

  • If required, replace timing belt/chain, thermostat and gasket; flush cooling system & refill; install new spark plugs, wires, belts & hoses.
    Transmissions/Transfer Cases:

  • Drain & replace fluid to manufacturer-spec levels.

  • Replace seals and filter; flush cooling lines; install torque converter correctly; fill fluid to spec; clear all transmission/software codes; adjust throttle/cable linkages as needed.

4. Warranty Exclusions

4.1 Warranty does not cover claims or damage resulting from:

  • Failure to maintain proper fluids/coolants/lubrication.

  • Overheating, freezing, abuse, negligence, vandalism, theft, fire, flood, collision, racing or competitive use.

  • Improper towing, overloaded vehicle, contaminated fluids, aftermarket modifications not approved by the vehicle manufacturer.
4.2 Labour costs, accommodation, storage fees, incidental or consequential damage (lost wages, rental costs, telephone charges, towing/freight) are not covered.
4.3 Commercial / for-hire use, competition or racing use are excluded.
4.4 Factory recalls, warranty claims with other providers, or breakdowns due to improper installation are excluded.
4.5 Leaking gaskets/seals due to non-replacement are excluded. We do not cover appearance/condition of the unit’s exterior (rust, dirt) as used parts often show wear consistent with their usage.
4.6 Claims outside of the warranty period or from outside the country of sale are excluded.
4.7 If you continue to operate the vehicle after discovering the defect without seeking our direction, your warranty may be voided.
4.8 Installation by non-certified mechanics or non-licensed repair facilities may void warranty.

5. Warranty Claim Process

5.1 All claims must be filed within the warranty period and include:

  • Diagnostic report from a licensed/ASE-certified repair facility showing installation procedures were followed.

  • Original invoice and installation receipt.

  • Photos or documentation of the defective unit and installation date/mileage.
Email all required documentation to [support@autostoreparts.com] (replace with your actual support email). We will respond within 24-48 business hours (excluding holidays).
5.2 Delivery acceptance is required; if you refuse delivery without following our procedure you may incur fees.
5.3 If a part is deemed defective, you may be required to return the part (in the condition shipped) for inspection. Return shipping is your responsibility unless otherwise specified.

6. Cancellation, Return & Refund Policy

6.1 All returns and cancellations must be authorized in advance by us.
6.2 For cancellations of orders which have been processed but not shipped, a 25% handling & restocking fee applies.
6.3 For cancellations of orders already shipped, you will incur the 25% fee plus shipping charges.
6.4 Parts ordered incorrectly or cancelled by you are subject to the same fees and shipping costs.
6.5 No refunds or credits will be provided for engines/transmissions (or major assemblies) that are returned in a condition other than how they were shipped (unless shipping damage is verified by us).
6.6 If a part is damaged during delivery you must:

  • Both you and the delivery driver record “DAMAGED” and sign the delivery receipt.

  • Notify us within 72 hours of arrival by email and phone.

  • Do not return the part until you receive Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from us.
If the part is proven defective we may replace the part; if replacement not available we may refund your cost of the part (excluding labour/shipping). You are responsible for return shipping.
6.7 Only the initial delivery shipping charges (if prepaid by us) may be eligible for credit; all return shipping is your responsibility.

7. Maintenance Requirements

7.1 To maintain warranty eligibility you must keep records of vehicle maintenance performed (oil changes, etc) by a licensed repair facility.
7.2 Records must include: date, mileage, vehicle make/model/VIN, service performed, paid invoice. Handwritten receipts may not be accepted without proper documentation.

8. Other Terms & Conditions

8.1 By authorizing or using a credit card to pay for your purchase you waive the right to dispute the transaction via your credit-card company.
8.2 Shipping & Handling: only the initial delivery shipping charges may be waived (at our discretion) if delivery is to a commercial address accessible by large freight. Residential or difficult-access deliveries may incur additional fees. Return shipping is your responsibility.
8.3 Because used auto parts carry inherent risks of wear and hidden damage, our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price you paid for the goods. We will not be liable for any incidental, special or consequential damages of any kind.
8.4 Deposits made to reserve or hold any part are non-refundable.
8.5 Engines/transmissions must be installed by ASE-certified mechanics and in a licensed repair facility; failure to meet this may void your warranty.
8.6 Incorrectly ordered parts or cancelled orders are your responsibility.
8.7 You are responsible for any applicable local taxes or use-taxes on parts you purchase.
8.8 We may refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion.

9. Disclaimer

9.1 Because many units are used and may include wear-items or accessories, we cannot guarantee the condition or presence of all components (e.g., nuts, bolts, wiring, sensors, mounts).
9.2 Colour, finish or appearance are not guaranteed; you may need to repaint or refurbish the part.
9.3 Mileage information is provided “as is” to the best of our knowledge; no guarantee is given.
9.4 Typical delivery time is 7-14 business days; unusual circumstances may require longer.
9.5 Residential deliveries may incur additional charges unless otherwise arranged.
9.6 OEM parts may fit multiple years/makes but it is your responsibility to confirm compatibility; we guarantee that the part we ship fits as specified in our listing.

10. Dispute Resolution

10.1 Any dispute arising from this agreement must be resolved by binding arbitration (under the applicable rules in your jurisdiction). You and we each waive the right to a jury trial, representative or class-action participation.
10.2 Each party pays their own costs unless the arbitrator determines otherwise.

11. Choice of Law & Venue

11.1 This agreement will be governed by the laws of [State/Country] (you should replace with your actual jurisdiction).
11.2 Any legal action or arbitration must be filed only in [County/City] in [State/Country].
11.3 You agree not to challenge the jurisdiction or venue requirements.

12. Privacy Policy

12.1 We respect your privacy. Any personal data collected for payment and fulfillment will be used solely for those purposes. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties outside of those aiding payment processing, shipping, and service fulfilment.
12.2 We may contact you with service-related communications. You may opt-out of marketing communications by email at any time.
